B2B POS β€” User Guide

Welcome πŸ‘‹ B2B POS adds B2B ordering to the Shopify POS app, so a cashier or sales rep can place an order for a business customer at the counter and put it on the company's account. This guide is written for merchants and their staff β€” no code or developer setup required.

New here? Start with Getting started β€” it walks you through installing the app, picking a plan, and the one‑time Shopify B2B setup the tile relies on.

What B2B POS does

B2B POS adds one tile to the Shopify POS app β€” B2B POS Orders. With it, a cashier can:

  • Add a business customer to a POS cart and place an order that uses the company's payment terms (buy now, pay later).
  • Choose a delivery method β€” counter pickup, a live shipping rate, or a custom shipping line.
  • Capture a deposit up front when one is required, and leave the balance on terms.
  • See a credit summary for the company and location, when credit limits are available through the OnAccount integration (see Integrations).

🀝 Want credit limits enforced at the register? B2B POS integrates with the OnAccount app to leverage the credit limits it sets β€” see Integrations.

A few terms used throughout

  • Company / company location β€” Shopify B2B models a business as a Company with one or more Company Locations. A buyer is a contact assigned to a location.
  • On account / net terms β€” the customer takes the goods now and pays the balance later, according to the location's payment terms.
  • Pay in full β€” the order is paid at the time of sale.
  • Deposit β€” an amount collected up front, with the rest left on payment terms.
  • Credit limit β€” the ceiling on how much a company is allowed to owe at once (available via Integrations).
