# Old Snippets Were Found

### Removing Old MinCart Code From Your Theme

Older versions of MinCart added code to your theme. MinCart now runs as an app embed, so that code isn't needed anymore, and it can conflict with the app embed.

#### Where You'll See It

When MinCart finds old code in your theme, the **App extensions** box on MinCart's Home page shows an **Old MinCart code** row, marked **Found**, with a **Remove** button.

#### How to Remove Old Code Automatically

1. On MinCart's Home page, click **Remove** on the **Old MinCart code** row.
2. The row then says **Removed**. Next, turn on the app embed if it isn't on yet.

#### Manual Removal of Old Snippets

If the automatic process does not work as expected, you can manually remove the old snippets by following these steps:

1. Go to your **Shopify Admin** and navigate to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Click **Actions** on your current theme and select **Edit Code**.
3. Find the `theme.liquid` file under the **Layout** folder.
4. Look for and delete the following line of code:

```
{% include 'mincart' %}
```

5. Save your changes.

#### Verifying the Update

Once the old snippets are removed, your theme should work seamlessly with the latest version of MinCart. If you encounter further issues, please contact our support team for assistance.
