How to Create a Product Limit in MinCart

In this article, you'll learn how to create a product limit in MinCart.

Step 1: Ensure that the installation guide for MinCart is completed. The current status should show as completed.

Step 2: Scroll down to the option to create a new limit.

Step 3: Click on Create to start the process. The limit type should be set to product, the limit name as whatever you want to name it, and the activation date as today. This is because we're testing the limit setup immediately. The status should be active and the audience should be set to everyone. You have the option to target either customers or non-customers.

Step 4: Add tags if you want to exclude certain customers from this limit.

Step 5: Select the items to target. In this case, we're targeting the Hydrogen snowboard product.

Step 6: Set the maximum quantity of this product that can be purchased to three.

Step 7: If you don't want to exclude anything, move on to customizing the text by going to general translation.

Step 8: Set the activation rule. We'll cover this in another article.

Step 9: Click on Save and test the limit on your store.

Step 10: Search for the product, in this case, Hydrogen.

Step 11: Add the product to your cart and proceed to checkout.

Step 12: Add three products to your cart. You should still be able to checkout as the limit is set to three.

Step 13: Try adding a fourth product to your cart.

Step 14: You should receive a quantity warning. Click on it to see the limit for the Hydrogen snowboard product.

Step 15: Adjust the quantity in your cart to three.

Step 16: Now, you should be able to checkout with three products in your cart.
