# Currency

**Does MinCart Support Multi-Currency Functionality?**

Yes, MinCart supports multi-currency functionality, but you’ll need to set it up properly for it to work as intended. Without additional configuration, MinCart applies the same limit across all currencies, regardless of the one selected on your website.

### Default Behavior

If **NO additional rules** are applied and your website supports **multiple currencies**, the minimum dollar limit **will remain the same** for all currencies. For example.

* If you set a Whole Cart limit of $50, customers will see:
* $50 CAD for Canadian currency.
* $50 USD for U.S. currency.

### Multi-Currency Setup Options

There are two ways to configure multi-currency limits in MinCart, with **Activation Rules** (Gatekeeper plan), on every Shopify plan:

#### Option 1: By currency

* Use the **"Currency" Activation Rule** to set currency-specific limits.
* For example:
* To set a $50 minimum for USD and a $100 minimum for CAD, create two separate limits.
* For the USD limit, add an activation rule: **"Currency is equal to USD."**
* For the CAD limit, add an activation rule: **"Currency is equal to CAD."**

#### Option 2: By country

* Use the **"Country" Activation Rule**, on the country the customer shops from (your store's country selector, which also sets the currency).
* Choose **Is any of** or **Is none of**, then one or more countries. One rule can cover a group of countries, such as all the countries of one of your markets.
* For example, to apply a limit only to customers shopping from France, Germany or Spain, add the rule **"Country is any of France, Germany, Spain"**.

| The **Market** rule is deprecated by Shopify: existing market rules keep working for now, but they can't be added any more, and Shopify hasn't said when they'll stop working, so don't rely on them. Replace them with the Country rule. See [Activation Rules](https://molsoft.crisp.help/en/article/activation-rules-1tz94vr/).

By following these steps, you can ensure that your multi-currency limits function correctly for all customers.
