Apply Minimum Cart Value for Specific Products

This tutorial explains how to set up a minimum cart value for specific products.

Step 1: Create a Collection

Before setting up the cart limit, you’ll need to create a collection to exclude specific products from this limit.

  1. Navigate to Products > Collections > Create Collection.
  2. Add all products to this collection except the products that require a minimum cart value to checkout.

This collection will act as an exclusion in your limit setup.

Step 2: Set Up the Cart Limit

Now that the collection is ready, follow these steps to configure the cart limit:

  1. Go to the Limits section in your app and create a new limit.
  2. Use the following settings:

  • Limit Type: Whole Cart
  • Limit Name: Assign a unique name to help identify the limit’s purpose (for internal reference only).
  • Activation Dates: Leave as default to activate immediately.
  • Active: Ensure this is checked to make the limit active.

  • Audience Type: Set to "Everyone."
  • Tags Exclusion: Leave this blank.

  • Set Limits: Choose By Total Price.
  • Minimum Cart Price: Enter the minimum amount a customer must spend to proceed to checkout if the specified products are in their cart.
  • Force Limit: Leave unchecked.

  • Price Limit Exclusions:
  • Click on Exclude Collections.
  • In the pop-up, select Exclude Collections and choose the collection you created earlier.

  • Click Select to save the exclusion.
  • Price Limits Texts:
  • Customize the message displayed to customers when the limit applies.
  • Example: "If X product or Y product is in your cart, your order must total at least $100.00 to proceed to checkout."

  • *
  • Click SAVE

By following these steps, you can ensure that a minimum cart value is applied when specific products are added to the cart. If you have questions or encounter issues, please contact support for assistance.
